Hakone Hosts 'Wine Bath' Event for Beaujolais Nouveau Day

Nov 22 (News On Japan) - A unique event blending the pleasures of wine and hot springs took place on Beaujolais Nouveau Day in Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture.

The Hakone Kowakien Yunessun hot spring theme park launched its annual wine bath event to coincide with the release of Beaujolais Nouveau.

Guests watched as sommeliers poured wine into the outdoor baths, filling the air with a fruity and fresh aroma.

The event, marking its 20th year since its start in 2005, is a well-loved tradition. On the release day, visitors can not only soak in the wine bath but also enjoy tastings of the celebrated wine, adding to its popularity.

Participants luxuriated in the vividly colored baths, savoring the new wine's flavor and texture while gazing at autumn foliage, creating a memorable and elegant experience.

The event will run until November 24th, with fresh wine poured into the baths twice daily.
