Legendary Enka Singer Jiro Kanmuri Dies of Heart Failure

TOKYO - Japanese singer Jiro Kanmuri has died of heart failure at the age of 79 after undergoing long-term treatment due to poor health.

His record company announced on the official website on January 11 of the star's passing on New Year's Day.

Jiro Kanmuri is known for his hit single "Flame" released in 1992.
