Seriously, these cute custom vinyl records are out to take your money. You don’t even have to love the artist so much but if you see a vinyl that’s eye-candy, you almost have no choice but to add them to your collection. It’s tough, really. Why are these artists releasing prettier and prettier records each year as if there’s a contest?!
Maybe it’s because there are so many creative options for vinyl pressing and vinyl record sleeves Made in the USA than are on other countries where custom vinyl records are popular. Some even offer glitter and liquid added to the vinyl. How crazy! It doesn’t have to be that over the top. There are thousands of options for colors, too. Many plants now offer custom colored vinyl pressing without the fear of bad sound quality anymore (remember the issue with black vs colored vinyl?) because their machines are more sophisticated.

#1 Beyonce - Lemonade
Last Sunday at the Grammys, Beyonce once again showed us that she’s the fierce, unbeatable Queen Bey. She also set a new record at the award show for being the most awarded female artist with her 28th win.
What we love about Lady B is her fierceness and it shows in her Lemonade album. Not only did she drop it in a non-traditional way, the album also looks hot! The double colored vinyl records were a match with the bright yellow color of the lemonade. The custom vinyl record sleeves have a subdued hue which complements very well with the bright yellow vinyl.
#2 David Mason - Alone Together
Dave Mason, the 74-year-old writer, performer, and most known for his time as an original member in the band Traffic, is still making great music. Last year, he celebrated his debut album’s 50th anniversary. He reimagined Alone Together and released the album Alone Together Again, with Rock Royalty who helped in the recording.
What’s cool about Mason’s debut album is that the colored vinyl record has a psychedelic pattern that is hypnotic when you stare at it while it’s spinning. The design on the vinyl album jacket is a photo of the singer on the bottom of a mountain of yellowish gold rocks.

#3 Taylor Swift - Lover
Taylor is another artist that set another record at the Grammys for being the only female artist to hold three wins for Best Album. She won Best Album award for albums Fearless released in 2010, 1989 released in 2016, and the latest, Folklore which was released in 2020. The girl knows how to turn heartache into music many of us can relate to.
Before the quarantine and Grammy award winning album Folklore, Taylor released her Lover album in 2019 which we totally adore. Along with the light blue and pink colors of the album cover, it is accompanied by two printed custom vinyl record sleeves and two bubblegum pink and blue colored vinyl records. The color scheme of the custom vinyl record album just radiates happy love, don’t you think?
#4 The Wonder Years - No Closer to Heaven
After their latest studio album release which was in 2018, The Wonder Years released a single entitled “Brakeless”. The song was released for the 10th anniversary of their album “The Upsides”. It was also released after their success on their get out the vote challenge to encourage and have a thousand voters registered.
The band’s album No Closer to Heaven is a very beautiful album both visually and musically. The artwork on the vinyl album jacket is an abstract one that has their color correlating with the tri-colored vinyl records. Picasso would be proud.
#5 Jack White - Fly Farm Blues Halloween Edition
The oh-so successful soloist and member of two duo acts and three other bands is still booked and very much busy. In October 2020, Jack White helped staff from the show Saturday Night Live when they needed a guest replacement and performed dazzlingly.
White’s single Fly Farm Blues was pressed onto these green colored vinyl records with the halloween edition artwork on the label. What’s awesome about these colored vinyl records is that when you turn off the lights, in case you want to sleep listening to his single, the vinyl record glows. Yes, you read that right! The green colored record glows in the dark. Not only is this custom vinyl record pretty, it has an attitude!
#6 Rogue Wave - Cover Me
Rogue Wave is an indie rock band headed by Zach Schwartz who created the band after losing his job in the dot-com bust. Thematically, Rogue Wave’s music has never drifted too far from the subject matter of emotional battles with fear and joy in equal parts. The latest news we have of the band, Rogue Wave, is that they released a song in April 2020 entitled “Aesop Rock” in response to Aesop Rock releasing an album song with the title “Rogue Wave”. Pretty neat, huh? You can tell this band’s got personality!
It shows in the colored vinyl record they made for their album Cover Me. It’s truly something else. How do you suppose a rock band that has a not-that-dark-but-never-cute image, releasing a cute pink album would look like? And the colored vinyl records are in hot pink at that.
