Feb 18 (South China Morning Post) - Japanese macaques, also known as ‘snow monkeys’, have been spotted enjoying a relaxing bath in geothermal hot springs at Jigokudani Yaen-Koen Park in Yamanouchi.
They are the most northern-dwelling primate in the world and inhabit snow-covered areas for several months a year. Images of snow monkeys taking a bath in winter have traditionally drawn large crowds of visitors each year.
