TOKYO, Jan 18 (News On Japan) - Menanggapi kekhawatiran atas pelanggaran hak cipta yang terkait dengan pengembangan dan penggunaan AI generatif, Badan Urusan Kebudayaan Jepang telah mengumumkan rencana untuk meminta komentar publik pada bulan Januari atas draf proposal berjudul "Perspektif tentang AI dan Hak Cipta."

Draf ini disiapkan oleh sub-komite Dewan Urusan Kebudayaan. Dengan penyebaran penggunaan AI generatif yang cepat dan meningkatnya kekhawatiran dari para pencipta tentang pelanggaran hak cipta melalui proses pembelajaran dan pembuatan data AI, Badan Urusan Kebudayaan Jepang telah mendiskusikan tindakan apa saja yang dapat dikategorikan sebagai pelanggaran hak cipta.

Draf yang dibuat pada tanggal 15 Januari menguraikan Pasal 30-4 Undang-Undang Hak Cipta, yang secara umum mengizinkan pembelajaran karya berhak cipta oleh AI tanpa persetujuan, tetapi mencakup peringatan untuk kasus-kasus yang "melebihi batas yang diperlukan" atau "secara tidak adil merugikan kepentingan pemegang hak cipta." Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa tindakan seperti memusatkan proses pembelajaran pada karya pencipta tertentu atau menggunakan data dari situs web dengan pembatasan pencarian untuk pembelajaran berpotensi melanggar hak cipta. Badan Urusan Kebudayaan bermaksud untuk mengadakan periode komentar publik mengenai rancangan ini pada bulan Januari dan menyusun laporan pada akhir tahun fiskal.
