TOKYO, Jul 13 (News On Japan) - A kebab shop in Shibuya's Center-gai has fallen victim to theft, with the arrested of five individuals, including a former employee.
Bilkay Khan, a 22-year-old Turkish national, along with four others are suspected of breaking into the kebab shop in Shibuya's Center-gai and stealing approximately 2.3 million yen in cash.
An employee of the victimized kebab shop expressed their sorrow: "It's sad. Really, very sad. We used to eat together as a team, cook together. Why, why?"
The employee added, "Since he used to work here, he might have known where the money was kept." When asked if the stolen money had been returned, the employee replied, "No, it hasn't been returned."
The shop had a combination lock installed, but it appears the suspects knew the code.
