TOKYO, Nov 18 (News On Japan) - A black box that moves like a cable car: this is the 'aerial delivery robot' developed by Panasonic and Tokyu as a new delivery infrastructure for suburban residential areas grappling with an aging population.
The robot traverses along wires strung between ten utility poles within a housing complex and delivers packages to a designated receiving box. It is believed to have a lower risk of falling compared to drones and is also quieter.
