TOKYO, Jan 10 (News On Japan) - A 41-year-old YouTuber known as 'Tokorozawa Tyson' has been arrested for allegedly threatening an acquaintance.
'Tokorozawa Tyson', whose real name is Hiromi Kubo, is suspected of threatening a male acquaintance in his 30s in November 2022, saying over the phone, "If you mess with me again, I'll kill you."
According to police, Kubo reacted angrily to the man addressing him as 'kun', a casual title usually attached to the end of a younger man's name, threatening him under the false belief that he had encouraged others to use this informal address.
During the investigation, Kubo partially denying the allegations, stating, "I said those things, but it was meant as 'stop messing with me,' not as a threat to kill."
'Tokorozawa Tyson' claims to be undefeated in 3,000 fights, while also participating in the Japanese amateur kickboxing and mixed martial arts tournament 'Breaking Down'.
