Jan 16 (News On Japan) - Japan Airlines (JAL) has unveiled its new aircraft for international flights, updated for the first time in 20 years.
The long-range A350-1000 is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by up to 25% compared to previous models, thanks to improved engine performance and lighter aircraft materials.
The cabin interior has undergone its first renewal in two decades, featuring high-resolution 4K monitors in every seat and larger partitions and electric reclining seats in premium economy.
In business and first class, each seat now comes with a door, while the headrests include built-in speakers, a world-first.
The new model will begin operations on the Tokyo Haneda to New York route starting from January 24.
