Jun 20 (NHK) - Top Japanese parcel delivery firm Yamato Transport is scaling back some services to give its overworked drivers a break.
Starting on Monday, customers cannot choose to have their parcels delivered between noon and 2 PM.
A labor shortage and a surge in online shopping have forced the company's drivers to work long hours.
Instead, the company will expand its night-time delivery window from 8-to-9 PM to 7-to-9 PM to give drivers more time to complete their rounds.
