N.Korea warns Trump not to talk too much

Nov 06, 2017 (NHK) - North Korea has warned US President Donald Trump to keep his mouth shut if he wants to avoid the destruction of his country.

The ruling Korean Workers' Party newspaper, Rodong Sinmun, carried a commentary on Sunday, the first day of Trump's Asian tour.

It said Trump will visit Seoul at a time when the US military is deploying its strategic arsenal in South Korea and the surrounding region.

It criticized Trump for trying to control the North by force. It said no-one knows when or how "the rogue" will carry out reckless acts and that restraining Trump with physical power is the only way to prevent this.

The commentary said North Korea will have no choice but to punish the United States by mobilizing all its power if the US misreads the North's super-strong will and attacks the country.

Trump has said that he plans to discuss putting more pressure on North Korea when he meets Asian leaders during his tour.
