Ishikawa, Jan 30 (News On Japan) - As anticipation builds for the full launch of the Hokuriku Shinkansen in Ishikawa Prefecture this March, a special preview event was held at the new Kaga Onsen Station, soon to become a part of the high-speed rail network.
Nearly 980 visitors, including families, explored the concourse and platform on Sunday, January 28, were blown away as a Shinkansen train whizzed past the platform.
A visitor expressed admiration, "Seeing the Shinkansen run through this part of Hokuriku is impressive." Additionally, in a show of solidarity, donation boxes were set up inside the station to support those affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake.
The Hokuriku Shinkansen line is poised to extend to Tsuruga in Fukui Prefecture on March 16, marking the full opening of the line within the prefecture.
