"Kaiji: Gambling Apocalypse" Inspires New Fragrance

TOKYO, Feb 25 (News On Japan) - Fukumoto Nobuyuki's manga series "Gambling Apocalypse Kaiji" has inspired a new line of fragrances and diffusers, now available for pre-order at select retailers including DREAMING PRINCESS. The collaboration items feature exclusive promotional images, with packaging illustrations freshly drawn by Fukumoto himself.

Two types of perfumes have been introduced: "Ito Kaiji Eau de Parfum" and "Kaiji Eau de Parfum Espoir." The "Ito Kaiji Eau de Parfum" captures the essence of the series' protagonist, Kaiji, with a refreshing citrus top note that represents the courage and ingenious ideas he exhibits in extreme situations, despite his otherwise lackluster life consumed by cheap liquor and gambling. The scent transitions to a spicy middle note and concludes with a complex interplay of woody and musk notes.

The "Kaiji Eau de Parfum Espoir," themed after the Espoir ship, presents a marine woody scent profile, symbolizing the tense showdowns faced by Kaiji. It starts with a fresh and cool top note that gradually settles into a composed fragrance with floral notes.

In addition to the perfumes, the "Teiai Group Diffuser" has been released, embodying the kind-hearted spirit of Kaiji, who never betrays those he trusts. An Oriental floral note reminiscent of the powerful and authoritative office space controlled by Kazutaka Hyodo and his black-suited subordinates permeates from this diffuser.

The prices for the fragrances are set at 4,950 yen each including tax, while the diffusers are priced at 3,850 yen each including tax. The perfumes are scheduled to ship in late April, and the diffusers in late March. Alongside these items, clear files featuring the same illustrations are available for 660 yen each including tax, and acrylic stands for 2,200 yen including tax.
