TOKYO, Jan 17 (News On Japan) - The Tokyo District Prosecutor's Office has decided not to prosecute the man known as 'Rengoku Koroaki,' a YouTuber specializing in citizen's arrests, who was arrested last year for unlawfully detaining another man.
The Prosecutor's Office had shifted the charge from illegal confinement to assault before ultimately dropping the case on Tuesday.
Rengoku Koroaki was also not charged for another accusation of defamation, related to posting a video on social media that damaged a woman's reputation.
The Tokyo District Prosecutor's Office has not disclosed the reasons for the decision not to prosecute.
