TOKYO, Aug 24 (News On Japan) - A Ferrari, seized from a tax delinquent, has been listed in an online auction of assets by the Tokyo Regional Taxation Bureau.
The Ferrari, distinguished by its sleek, bright red body, is an Italian luxury car that the Tokyo Tax Office seized from an individual who failed to pay taxes. The car has been put up for sale through an internet auction.
The starting bid for the Ferrari is 56.8 million yen ($392,000), marking the highest amount ever listed for a seized asset, excluding real estate.
Other luxury items up for auction include a high-end wristwatch priced at 24.1 million yen and a popular whiskey starting at 560,000 yen.
Applications to participate in the auction are open until 5 p.m. on August 23rd, with bidding scheduled to begin in early next month.
