NAGOYA, May 26 (News On Japan) - An event commemorating the 63rd anniversary of the founding of the 10th Division of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Forces was held on Sunday, featuring shooting drills and other training exercises as part of the program. The training was open to the public, allowing visitors to observe the drills firsthand.
The event was held at the Moriyama Garrison and brought together around 400 personnel from six different Japan Ground Self-Defense Force garrisons under the 10th Division.
One of the highlights was the public unveiling of the Type 16 Mobile Combat Vehicle, stationed at the Toyokawa Garrison. Visitors enthusiastically captured photos of the cutting-edge equipment, many raising their cameras as the vehicle was displayed.
In the afternoon, a performance by the JGSDF military band was also scheduled to entertain attendees.
