KYOTO, Mar 22 (News On Japan) - A total of 294 students graduated from the Japan Coast Guard School in Maizuru, Kyoto Prefecture, on March 21st after completing rigorous training, marking the start of their careers in safeguarding the nation’s maritime security.
The graduates, dressed in formal uniforms and wearing determined expressions, attended the ceremony held in Maizuru City.
During the ceremony, each graduate’s name was called, and a representative received the graduation certificate on behalf of the class. Transport Minister Yasushi Kaneko also delivered a congratulatory address.
Sato, speaking as the class representative, said: "At our respective posts, we will strive to become immediately effective personnel by carrying out our duties with motivation, energy, and courage, and dedicate ourselves to protecting safety, security, and order at sea."
Following the ceremony, the graduates bid farewell to their classmates and will be assigned to regional coast guard offices across Japan.
